Uganda Honors Liberation Heroes On President Museveni’s 82nd Birthday

KAMPALA, UGANDA — A major national prayer and tribute event took place today at the Office of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) National Chairman in Kyambogo, marking the 82nd birthday of His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The event, themed the "Spiritual Revival of the Fallen Warriors," brought together government officials, religious leaders, Members of Parliament, and the general public to honor the veteran fighters who sacrificed their lives during Uganda’s liberation struggle.

National Tributes: Congregants offered prayers for the fallen heroes while emphasizing the importance of recognizing and supporting living veterans.

 Call for Unity: 

Speakers urged the public to protect the hard-earned peace, stability, and ongoing development of the nation.

 Dignitaries Present: 

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja presided over the celebration as the chief guest, which was organized by Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo.

Concurrently, a massive month-long humanitarian drive led by the Indian Association in Uganda launched across 82 centers nationwide, aiming to collect 25,000 units of blood in honor of the President's milestone birthday.

In a video message shared with the public, President Museveni expressed deep gratitude for the birthday wishes and urged all citizens to remain focused on driving the country forward.
