UBOS reveals a revised dissemination schedule for new survey reports & a simplified portal to access digital versions.

Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) on Thursday 2nd April 2026 revealed new dates to cater for the completed and newly finalized reports that are set to be released to the public. 

The Bureau has also introduced a simplified web portal linked to their official website where users of the reports can easily access them.

During a press briefing at Uganda Media Center, The Principal Public Relations Officer, Mr. Didacus Okoth informed the country that UBOS is set to disseminate surveys and reports that are ready for users including new ones whose dates have been scheduled such as the Aquaculture Census, and Uganda Business Inquiry plus those already communicated earlier including the Labour Market Survey, Human Resource Survey, UHIS Waves I–III, Aquaculture Census, Baseline Education Census.

“We are sharing a revised calendar for completed surveys and report with new products and a change of schedule for one product, all the new reports will be uploaded on respective days of dissemination on the UBOS website” he said.

Speaking on behalf of the Senior Statistician Dr. Chris Mukiza, he said that on 16th April 2026, UBOS will release the Labour Market survey report, on 30th April, will be the Aquaculture survey report, on 14th May the Baseline Education survey report will be released previously scjdu on 9th April, on 21st May 2026 will be the release of the Uganda business report among others.

The Head of IT department, Mr. Ivan Atwine while demonstrating how to access the finished reports on the new portal link on their website, said that the to avoid the tedious bueden of reading big volumes of the report, the bureau has introduced a portal that simplified access linked on the UBOS website of www.ubos.org and attached a “data dissemination portal with census dates and other surveys where a user can tap on the different survey especially the community survey data which has a map to select from in various languages”

Didacus was flanked by other UBOS officials including Lydia Atuhaire the Principal Office in the Local Gov't department, Kirumira Tuhaise PRO, Faith Atuhurira Principal PRO, Aphia Iramahoro, Edward Kizito and Lawrence Kimbowa.
