Life can be incredibly hard when you are poor. For Abraham, a man from Mbale, Uganda, poverty wasn’t just a circumstance—it defined how others saw him. For years, people mocked him. Friends drifted away, relatives refused to lend a hand, and neighbors sneered whenever he spoke about his dreams. He lived in a tiny rented room, struggled to put food on the table, and couldn’t afford school fees for his younger siblings. His life often felt hopeless.

Abraham recalls days when he went hungry, walking long distances in search of casual work. Some nights, he went to bed without a meal, wondering if things would ever improve.
