The New Lohana Community Board of Trustees in Uganda reveals future initiatives
Following the elections of the new Board of Trustees of the Lohana Community in Uganda officially announced it’s newly elected Board of Trustees during their Annual General Meeting; the five prominent leaders were put under the leadership of Chairman Sudhir Ruparelia.
The election results that were confirmed and announced by Mr. Janak Gadhia, The Chairman of the Executive Committee, revealed the future plans that will be overseen by The Board such as high-profile cross-border business events, continued youth and charity initiatives including; continued development projects, cultural preservations, and welfare initiatives and other global responsibilities.
The newly elected board members are: Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia, Dr. Hitesh Panchmatia, Dr. Chirag Kotecha, Mr. Bhasker Kotecha and Mr. Raj Sakaria.
The community recently launched the official Lohana Community of Kampala Website to centralize community activities and preserve cultural heritage.
In line with global Lohana service initiatives, the community recently participated in 'Jal Yagna', commissioning a borehole to provide water to remote villages in Gomba, Uganda.
They also engaged the Lohana Youth Wing and Lohana Mahila Mandal hosting various ongoing events at the Lohana Community of Kampala as they continued to drive charitable projects carried out on the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya.
Under the school Leadership project; The Lohana Academy installed its newly elected Head Prefect for the 2026–2027 academic term, and students recently concluded a vibrant Sports Day.
On a global scale The Lohana International Business Forum (LIBF) held its major 2026 Global Expo at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) in Mumbai, bringing together entrepreneurs and leaders across 30+ countries to foster cross-border business connections. Organisers positioned the platform as a connector between enterprise ecosystems across India, the Gulf region, Africa, Europe, the UK, North America, and AsiaPacific markets.
