The Journey to My Dream Job: A True Story of Patience and Prayer
My name is Joseph Kisakye, and I’m from Mukono, Uganda. For three years after finishing university, I felt like a shadow of the man I aspired to be. I had graduated with a diploma in Business Administration, full of hope and energy, ready to take on the world. But life after school didn’t turn out the way I had imagined.
After graduation, I applied for jobs everywhere I could. I printed CVs, visited offices in person, and even paid cyber cafes to submit online applications for me. I attended a few interviews, but none resulted in a job. Sometimes I was promised a call that never came; other times, I wasn’t even shortlisted.
