THE FUTURE OF LAW IS DIGITAL: Uganda Law Society Unveils Landmark Sponsors for the 2026 Tech Fest

KAMPALA, UGANDA – The Uganda Law Society (ULS) has officially unveiled its corporate sponsor lineup for the highly anticipated 2026 Tech Fest. 

Scheduled to take place from Thursday 18th to Friday 19th September 2026 at the Speke Resort Munyonyo, the premier digital festival is set to unify legal practitioners with tech innovators to transform the legal profession through modern technology.

Speaking at the press launch, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Tony Garland, noted that the 2026 edition will feature both physical and online participation. To ensure inclusive professional development, the main event will be followed by regional tech fests in Mbale and Gulu.

"The festival creates a unique marketplace helping lawyers access essential digital tools while giving innovators direct interaction with their core tool users," Mr. Garland stated.

Physical exhibition spaces are available at UGX 500,000, while virtual participant access is pegged at UGX 200,000.

Echoing the urgency of technological adoption, ULS Vice President Anthony Asiimwe emphasized that the legal ecosystem must adapt quickly to keep pace with global advancements.

 "The legal practice has historically lagged in tech training. The future of the legal profession is digital, and we must embrace this transformation to seamlessly deliver justice to our clients," Asiimwe remarked.

The 2026 Tech Fest has attracted diverse backing from banking, legal, and tech sectors. 

Corporate heavyweights and innovators anchoring this year’s festival include: Stanbic Bank, Lexara Ltd (led by Co-Founder & CEO Simon Nyakoojo), Amber, Musangala Advocates and Solicitors, Diamond Advocates.

Highlighting the practical impact of these collaborations, Mr. Simon Nyakoojo, Co-Founder and CEO of Lexara Ltd, explained that their partnership with ULS aims to enhance the visibility of legal practices and integrate tools that link lawyers directly to clients, maximizing productivity and professional accountability.
