The 7th Business Trendsetters Forum set for July 2026.

The 7th edition of the Business Trendsetters' Forum 2026 is scheduled for July 29, 2026, at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel with a renewed discussion under the theme: “People, Purpose and AI in Business” 

Organized by Business Trends Galore in partnership with Balunywa Foundation and partners under the leadership of the Business Development Consultant Yvonne Mpanga, this years forum will include an awards gala ceremony to recognize and celebrate outstanding entities.

According to Yvonne Mpanga, the forum will feature prominent panelists to discuss the key selected topics, Uganda’s top trendsetters, partners, government officials with pre-event virtual engagement among others.  

This follows last year’s successful 6th Business Trendsetters Forum and Awards Gala for 2025 that concluded in August 2025 at the Sheraton Kampala hotel.

Last year, Yvonne Mpanga highlighted that the criteria for selecting the award winners were determined by the public who were nominating their candidates, depending on inspirations based on quality, trainability and transcendence of the trendsetters’ contributions to society.

The Executive Director of Uganda Communication Commission (UCC) Hon. Nyombi Tembo, after receiving the award for his excellent service delivery in innovating for transformation and impact said that under his tenure, more Ugandans have accessed mobile phones, internet, and a tremendous digital transformation, which he said is attributed to the regulatory framework, which has shifted from enforcement to facilitation to innovations in Uganda.

“UCC regulates a sector that touches every life in Uganda, we have moved from enforcement to facilitation to avoid stifling innovations. Business and communication go hand in hand. With about 45 SIM cards in use and an internet penetration at 65%, the telecom sector is touching every aspect of life” he said
