St. Mary’s College Mayenze Launches 50% Bursary Scheme for Top Students and Talented Athletes

St. Mary’s College Mayenze, one of Uganda’s leading secondary schools, has introduced an ambitious bursary program aimed at rewarding outstanding academic performance and athletic ability. The initiative offers a 50% reduction in tuition fees for exceptional students enrolling in both O-Level and A-Level classes.

Students who scored between 4 and 14 in the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) are eligible to apply, providing an opportunity for high-achieving pupils to access quality education at a more affordable cost. The program also targets gifted athletes in football, netball, and leg ball, allowing them to develop their sporting talent alongside academic pursuits.

With the bursary, day students will now pay UGX 260,000 for S.1–S.4 and UGX 275,000 for S.5–S.6, while boarding students pay UGX 525,000 across all year groups, down from the standard UGX 1,050,000 fee.
