2024 Mityana District USSSA Football Championships:
- Final: Royal Giant High School 1-0 St Francis Busunju
Royal Giant High School is once again the champion of Mityana district Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) men football.
Emma Kisakye’s free-kick goal was all the important decisive strike for Royal Giant High School against a hard-fighting St Francis Busunju in the final at the Mityana ssaza ground on Wednesday, 27th March 2024.
Kisakye netted in the opening phases of the game and the team gallantly defended to win 1-0; earning a trophy with gold medals.
Last year, Royal Giant High School had lost to Ssingo Secondary School in the final.
Royal Giant High School had earlier in the day won their semi-final contest to storm the finals.
Thomas Ogema scored a brace and Abdul-Razak Iradukunda got the other goal for Royal Giant High School in the semi-finals against St Francis Mityana.
The semi-final tie between St Francis Busunju and MUMUSA High School ended prematurely at one-goal apiece as the latter protected St Francis Busunju’s equalizing goal.
It was a tough game with at Francis Busunju being so physical and technically good. My boys (players) were simply equal to the challenge and the knew exactly how to handle their opponents. At the quarter final stage, Royal Giant High School beat Kiwaawu S.S 2-0 whilst St. Francis Mityana overcame Naama Modern S.S 3-0.
The finalists will represent Mityana at the USSSA Zonal championships which involves schools from Mpigi, Mityana, Gomba, Mubende and Kassanda.

- St Francis Busunju 1-1 MUMUSA High School (*MUMUSA walked out of the stadium)

- Ssingo SS 0 (4) – 0 (5) MUMUSA High School
- St. Francis Busunju 3-1 Tammu SS
- Royal Giant High School 2-0 Kiwawu SS
- St. Francis Mityana 3-0 Naama Modern
