“Poverty Nearly Drove Me Insane Until One Phone Call Transformed My Entire Life” – Calvin Shares

My name is Calvin, and I come from Masaka, Uganda. For many years, I lived a life full of pain, struggle, and shame. I came from a poor background, but I always believed that if I worked hard, I could change my life. Unfortunately, nothing ever seemed to go right for me. Every business I tried collapsed. Every job I got ended abruptly without reason. I reached a point where I could hardly afford food or rent, and I began to think maybe my life was cursed. Poverty had consumed me so much that I nearly lost my mind.
I remember days when I would sit outside my tiny rented room and watch other men provide for their families, while I struggled even to buy a bar of soap. People mocked me, and friends avoided me. The stress became so overwhelming that I started talking to myself, and I could feel I was on the edge of running mad. I prayed every night, I fasted, and I worked tirelessly, but nothing changed.
