Arsenal players are clocking up the miles this week.

It is the international break for Premier League stars and plenty of Gunners are in action for their countries between important Gunners matches.

There are some who have remained at home though, with training at London Colney, or resting niggly injuries.

And manager Mikel Arteta, along with the Arsenal supporters, will be hoping to have a clean bill of health once the two-=week break is over and the top-flight returns.

With that said, here is the latest injury news on who is likely to be fit for the clash against Marcelo Bielsa's men.

Thomas Partey

The 27-year-old, who was signed for £45million from Atletico Madrid in the summer transfer window, came off against Villa with a thigh problem at half-time, with the game at 1-0.

It appears early assessments of Partey's injury are more serious than Arsenal had hoped as he did not join up with the Ghana squad during the international break.

Earlier this week, Arteta said: "We don't know [the extent] of it.

"We have to scan him tomorrow or the day after and see what he felt straight away.

"Let's wait and see what the magnitude of the injury is.

"I don't know [if he will go away with Ghana now]. As I said, the doctor will have to have a look at him and probably scan him.

"Then we will decide what to do with him."

Arsenal will hope Partey is fit for the Leeds game as he was particularly impressive in his side's 1-0 win at Manchester United, the first time they had won at Old Trafford in 14 years.

Reiss Nelson

The Arsenal winger has missed the club's last two games, including the 4-1 win over Molde in the Europa League and the defeat to Villa, with a knee problem.

In an update posted on the club website, the 20-year-old is expected to be back in full training this week.

"Right knee," a statement reads. "Sustained knock and bruising to right knee in training ahead of Thursday’s match against Molde.

"Aiming to return to full training next week."

Calum Chambers

Callum Chambers suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee against Chelsea way back on December 29 last year.

But the 25-year-old is on his way back to full fitness after starting for Arsenal Under-21s in their EFL Trophy tie against Gillingham on Tuesday.

It could be a couple more weeks before the former Southampton defender is ready for first team action.

Pablo Mari

The 27-year-old sustained a significant sprain to ankle ligaments while playing Manchester City on June 17.

The centre-back is continuing his outside running and strengthening programme, along with light ball work.

The club are aiming to integrate the Spaniard back into full training after the November international period.

Gabriel Martinelli

The 19-year-old forward has been sidelined since June 21 where he suffered a left knee injury during a training session.

According to the club, Martinelli had a successful arthroscopic procedure undertaken to repair a lesion in the cartilage of the left knee.

The Brazilian was initially ruled out until the end of 2020 but he has been running outside, alongside daily strengthening and recovery programme at London Colney.

Arsenal say he has been involved in group sessions and is aiming to return to full training by December.

"I’m feeling very well, I’m regaining confidence and I can feel my knee is better,” he previously told the Arsenal website.

"After an injury like this you are kind of scared to force the knee again but the past couple of weeks it has been fine and soon I can start training with the ball."

Kieran Tierney

The Scotland international could be the one Arteta and the supporters fear most about.

Tierney played the full 120 minutes as Scotland went to extra-time and penalties to beat Serbia in Serbia to reach Euro 2020.

The Scots follow that up with trips to Slovakia on Sunday and then Israel on Wednesday before Arsenal are back in action next Sunday.

He may not pick up an injury, but he could be fatigued.

Granit Xhaka

The Swiss international was hooked at half-time in their friendly defeat to Belgium on Wednesday night.

It was not thought to be injury-related, more a tactical switch, but we will know more when Switzerland take on Spain on Saturday.
