Omega 256 confirms rescheduled concert for September, ending uncertainty

At a press conference held at H2O Lounge, Kololo, on Monday afternoon, Omega 256—accompanied by several fellow Western Uganda-based artists—revealed that her concert will take place in September.
Omega 256, real name Shamim Murerwa, had to cancel her concert a few weeks ago after falling out with events organiser Nobat Events over reluctance in preparations towards the event that had been scheduled for 2nd May 2025.

She revealed that it took team effort, meetings, and preparation to conclude on a new date, 19th September 2025, for her fans to eventually enjoy watching her perform.
She also maintained that the venue has not changed and that revelers from across the country are invited to come watch her make history at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
I’m saddened to let you all know that our show won’t be happening on the 2nd of May as earlier communicated. My heart is so sad, and I’m so sorry to disappoint y’all. Ladies and gentlemen, on the 19th of September 2025, we are going to be at Lugogo Cricket Oval for the #OmegaLivelnConcert.
Omega 256 noted that this time around, she has decided to let her management, Diagram Evolution, organise the concert, and she anticipates the very best of it.
“Me and my management decided to organize this show ourselves. My team and I tried so much to have my show on the 2nd of May, but unfortunately, we failed because of the time limit and other things, some you know, the others you don’t,” Omega 256 added.
