NWSC Human Resource Director Eunice awarded as professionals calls for fast tracking of the HR Bill.

Human Resource Managers’ Association of Uganda (HRMAU) held their Annual Conference which ended with the award night last Friday at Serena hotel. 

Various Human resource professionals were warded for their commendable performance while executing their duties in their respective organizations.

While applauding the support from the management  of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) rendered to the preparations of the conference, The Director Human Resource Department Eunice Alanyo was among the winners of the award and a gift for her outstanding contribution to the human resource professional in Uganda. 

She expressed gratitude for the award while receiving the award and the gift from Unify.

The President of the Human Resource Managers’ Association of Uganda (HRMAU) Mr. Bbossa Ronald challenged Human Resource Managers to embrace agility to manage the ever-changing world of work during the Annual HR Conference 2025 under the theme: “HR as an enabler: Leading Change, Unlocking Potential, Sustaining Growth”.

He called for mindset shift and building of workplaces that go beyond discipline and focus on coaching, mediation, and growth.

“I wish to call upon thought leaders to collaborate and bridge HR industry and create interconnected systems for sustainable HR excellence,”he stated.

Bbossa called on stakeholders to fast truck the enactment of the HR Bill into an act to enable hima. Resources manager perform more duties and responsibilities to promote the profession.

“Consultations are going on, there will a report and valuation of the old version of the bill and will be tabled to parliament for the second reading and the next step will be to cabinet for assentment by the President. We need to fast truck it to HR professionals act” he said.

MWSC MD Eng. Silver Mugisha

Under the leadership Eng. Silver Mugisha, some of he current projects NWSC is currently undertaking includes the Water Supply improvements for Mubende district, where they are carrying out emergency works on a main transmission supplying Mubende town and the surrounding areas that according to NWSC “have been completed and water supply restored” to support the existing Katoma water Plant.
