NWSC extends new water supply projects in Bushenyi.

The Managing Director of National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) Eng Silver Mugisha while addressing residents of Kagari, in Busnyi district on last week, he launched various water supply projects to benefit the resident of Ibaare sub county and the surrounding areas with safe water. 

Eng. Mugisha disclosed how President Yoweri Museveni has allocated about Shs81billion to NWSC to make sure that water is extended to more areas across the country. “Our mandate is urban based but the President now wants at least every sub county, every village to have access to safe and clean water,” he said.

The Bushenyi district woman MP Annet Katusiime Mugisha hailed the water agency for bridging the water gap in Bushenyi and other districts.

She said her mission is to lobby the government so that water coverage is over 90% and that she will push for development of all sectors that fight poverty and underdevelopment.

At the same occasion, Mugisha cautioned the young people against social media use urging them to use social media to connect to opportunities and create networks that can help you to do something that supports your well-being.

“It is very unfortunate that most of the youth spend much of your time on social media abusing and blackmailing each other-especially the leaders.

He said in this modern era, the youth should instead use social media to search for knowledge, opportunities, build networks/bridges which can connect them.

“Yes, social media is a platform to engage with your leaders but engage them productively” he said
