Nominations for Uganda’s top entities kicks off as the 2026 Business Excellence Awards is officially launched

The 2026 Business Excellence Awards in Uganda were officially launched on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the Sheraton Hotel Kampala highlighting the theme “Celebrating excellence, inspiring innovation”. 

The awards organized by Consumer Publications Uganda Limited, focuses on recognizing innovation and customer value as core drivers of business excellence climaxing to the awards gala on 14th August 2026.

The goal according to the Chief Operations Officer Anes Alowo is the to encourage businesses to compete on quality and service rather than price, establishing higher industry benchmarks for transparency and sustainability.

She announced that the nominations for the awards has been opened for consumers to start making their best choices of their favorite brands followed by a Selection Process through a structured merit-based evaluation.

“Nominations are now open to both companies and the general public to identify outstanding performers. There will a shortlist for after the screening of nominees, and the evaluation will be done by a professional team that conducts a detailed research and evaluation of shortlisted entities* she said

Agnes added that “We shall celebrate excellence and inspire innovation. It is no longer just business that defines excellence, but customers. The companies that deliver value are the ones that lead. This year’s theme is both recognition and challenge. Recognition of businesses delivering exceptional value and a challenge to organisations to raise the bar.” 

The launch event attracted key partners partners and last year’s winners including Eye Care Center, Everready Company, Steel and Tube, Tembo Steels, Simba Automobiles, Horeb Services, Shree Enterprises, Plascon, Simba Fibre Africa, Lato Milk, Tyre Express, Azam, Bins Uganda, Chint, Kiboki Enterprises, Kuku Chicks, K-Roma Ltdaming others.
