“My Children Were Always at the Bottom of the Class, But This One Choice Turned Everything Around,” Margaret Reveals

My name is Margaret Nansubuga, a 36-year-old mother of three from Mukono, Uganda. Like any parent, I dreamed of seeing my children succeed in school and grow into great people. I wanted them to get good grades, earn scholarships, and have a better life than mine. But for years, I carried pain and shame because my children were always at the bottom of their class.
No matter how hard they studied, no matter how often I paid for extra lessons, their grades stayed poor. Teachers frequently called me to complain about their lack of focus and weak performance. Other parents mocked me during school meetings, and I felt like a failure as a mother. Sometimes I cried at night, asking God why my children were struggling.
