Miss Tourism Uganda 2026–2027 Competition Officially Launched as registration wide opens.

The 14th edition of Miss Tourism Uganda 2026 was officially launched on March 16, 2026, at the Kampala Serena Hotel, focusing on the theme "AI, Culture and Tourism". 

 The 2026 competition introduces a digital focus and expanded inclusivity, including regional searches. Simultaneously, the Buganda Kingdom launched its own Miss Tourism 2026 pageant.

The Grand Finale is scheduled for September 4, 2026.

Inclusivity: The competition is open to mixed-race citizens and now includes categories for both girls and boys in certain regional, such as Buganda.

According to organizers, the competition aims to promote Uganda's tourism potential, cultural heritage, and encourage youth to protect tourism sites.

The launch saw involvement from the Miss Tourism Uganda Foundation, Buganda Kingdom officials, and various tourism partners.

Organizers explained that the theme “AI, Culture & Tourism” represents Uganda’s past, present, and future — where heritage meets innovation to tell the country’s story in new and creative ways.

Previously, the competition was open only to female contestants. However, beginning in 2025, organizers introduced a parallel programme for male participants, expanding opportunities for more young people to promote tourism.
