Mama Tendo Foundation announces trip to Nairobi to spur entrepreneurs growth.

Mama Tendo Foundation, a family support organization, has been at the forefront of supporting women to start and grow their businesses out of nothing, especially through its online Facebook forum which was a lifeline for many small women led business during COVID 19, we have done this for over 10 years online. 

The foundation has announced a trip dedicated to enterprisee to open growth doors and expose them to business opportunities.

“We are excited to announce an upcoming benchmarking trip to Nairobi scheduled for the second half of the year. This trip will explore business opportunities, showcase successful enterprises, and highlight places most relevant to budding and aspiring entrepreneurs” partly reads the statement.

The trip will also facilitate interactions with online communities, help build bigger networks for collaboration and working together, and provide skills in online marketing.

“We hope this will create bigger opportunities and exposure for small entrepreneurs who sell through Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram, launching them into a bigger entrepreneurship space and widening their markets” it reads

Mama Tendo Foundation CEO Catherine Ruhweza recently during the Parenting symposium held at Kololo applauded Mama Janet Museveni for her support of the foundation which she said was established in 2000. 

She challenged the silence that too often surrounds parenting, reminding us that while it may be one of the least discussed roles, it is one of the most vital.

The CEO revealed that through the efforts of Mama Tendo Foundation, “over 100,000 families have been reached and encouraged to embrace the timeless values of love, care, and presence”.

She also shared her vision: “to establish the Mama Tendo Parenting and Research Centre—a bold, national hub dedicated to equipping caregivers and shaping the next generation of grounded, resilient citizens.”
