Friday Results

  • Kitara 0-0 BUL
  • Wakiso Giants 1-0 NEC

Kitara missed an opportunity to steer clear at the summit after a goalless draw with second placed BUL on Friday.

The highly anticipated top of the table clash didn’t live up to the billing but sharing points leaves the race for this season’s championship evenly poised.

The Royals stay top, now on 44 points with 22 matches played, four ahead of BUL with same number of matches.

However, these are three games more than 4th and 5th placed SC Villa and Vipers who are in action on Saturday against Mbarara City and URA respectively.

In the other game played, Wakiso Giants saw off NEC with a 1-0 win that sees them move up to 11th on the table with 26 points, nine above safety.

Kenneth Kimera scored the winner in the 80th minute, his 7th of the season.

The results denied NEC an opportunity to close in on leadership especially after a stalemate between the two sides above them.

NEC stay third with 37 points but could drop to 5th if Villa and Vipers win their respective matches on Saturday.
