Kira division Emyooga veterans beneficiaries plead with Museveni for more funds

A number of aging veterans in Kira division Wakiso district have appealed to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for more Emyooga funding opportunities to expand and boost their businesses.

The members made the remarks last week during the colorful launch ceremony of the Kampala Metropolitan

Emyooga Saccos leader’s presidential mobilization task force teams held at Kira sports grounds in Kira municipality Wakiso district.

The event which attracted big crowds of Emyooga beneficiaries and local petty traders was officiated by the Kira division

assistant RDC Sharon Abu who urged the residents to support all the government economic empowerment programs

especially the re-energized Emyooga which has been given a financial boost by the government.

Sharon congratulated the area Emyooga beneficiary community for celebrating success and achievements obtained from the Emyooga program saying they need to encourage more people to access the fund.

She tasked them to move out into their respective communities and canvass votes for the NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

‘we are launching you today to go door to door convincing your politically hardened friends to vote for the NRM presidential

candidate come January 15th 2025 for purposes of protecting the party’s gains and stability of the country' noted Sharon.

While giving testimonies about benefits obtained from the Emyooga,, Nalongo Bbosa the chairperson Kira division

Emyooga veterans SACCOs said the fund economically boosted her livelihood enabling her to improve her incomes however wants the president to donate her UGX20M to build a house having been displaced by the Uganda railways line repair works.

Nalubega Justine 63 chairperson veterans’ affairs kira village LC1 pleaded with president Museveni to support her buy land to expand her livestock farm.

She narrated how the current 30 by 50 pieces of land was too small to accommodate her 8 cows and wants UGX50M to secure both land and a tuku tuku mini truck for transportation of livestock feeds dreams.

The beneficiaries thanked both the leadership of the state house and the Microfinance support centre [USC] for the opportunity of allowing them to appreciate the president for the timely Emyooga program.
