iDD Dental Lab Offers Digital Dental Laboratory Services to Practices Across New Zealand
iDD Dental Lab provides advanced digital dental laboratory services in New Zealand, including crowns, veneers, dentures, implants, aligners, and CAD/CAM solutions for modern dental practices.
Lower Hutt, New Zealand — iDD Dental Lab, based in Naenae, Lower Hutt, provides a comprehensive range of dental laboratory services to dental practices across New Zealand. From single unit crowns and veneers through to full arch All-on-X rehabilitations, digital smile design, custom dentures, and locally manufactured clear aligners, iDD Lab operates as a full-service digital dental laboratory with an internationally experienced in-house team.
The lab's workflow is built around the needs of the dental practices it works with. Digital scan files from all major intraoral scanner brands are accepted, and each case is managed from initial submission through to final delivery by the same dedicated team.
A Digital Laboratory Built for Modern Dental Practice
iDD Dental Lab operates with a fully digital workflow, using CAD/CAM design with 3Shape, digital treatment planning, in-house 3D printing, and precision ceramic techniques across all case types. This digital-first approach supports consistent fabrication quality and turnaround times that dental practices can plan around.
The lab accepts intraoral scan files from 3Shape, iTero, Medit, Dentsply Sirona, Carestream, and Planmeca, meaning practices can submit cases directly from their existing scanner setup without any change to their clinical workflow.
Sending a case to iDD Dental Lab is straightforward. Practices contact the team by email, provide case details and scan files, and iDD Dental Lab takes it from there. The team communicates clearly at each stage and manages deadlines with the practice's schedule in mind.
The Team Behind the Work
iDD Dental Lab's strength comes from its people. The lab is supported by six dental technicians and operations professionals whose combined experience spans New Zealand, South Korea, the Philippines, the United States, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and beyond.
George Li, Lab Manager and Dental Technician, has been part of the iDD Lab team since 2019 and brings over ten years of experience across both removable and fixed prosthetics. George oversees the day-to-day running of the lab, combining his technical knowledge of the fabrication process with a focus on quality management and client communication. His ceramic staining work is a particular area of strength within the team.
Jordyn Te Kani, Operations and Communications Manager, joined iDD Lab in 2023 and manages the coordination between dental practices, clinicians, and the technical team. Jordyn oversees case processing, deadline tracking, and client follow-ups, keeping the workflow organised and communication clear across every active case. Her background in clinical leadership informs how the lab approaches client relationships and case management.
Insu Kim, Digital Dental Technician, completed a three-year dental technology programme in South Korea before building his skills at Megagen Implant. He has since spent three years working in digital dental laboratories in New Zealand. Insu leads the planning and fabrication of surgical guides at iDD Lab, applying the precision required to support accurate implant placement. His attention to shade matching is a quality he takes particular pride in.
Mark C. Gutierrez, Digital Dental Technician, brings over eleven years of experience in dental technology, with the past four focused on crafting functional and comfortable dentures. Mark works across both traditional and digital fabrication methods, including CAD/CAM design with 3Shape, and manages denture cases from design through to final delivery. His commitment to learning new techniques continues to develop his work across both workflows.
Jowell Bautista, Digital Dental Technician, discovered his calling in dental technology in 2006 and has since built a career that has taken him across six countries, the United States, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Bahrain, and Indonesia, before arriving in New Zealand. With nearly twenty years of experience, Jowell is proficient in both layered and monolithic zirconia techniques and works across materials including zirconia and e.max, producing everything from single unit restorations to full arch cases and veneers.
Mark Ariel Antiojo, Digital Dental Technician, brings a background in high-volume dental laboratories across the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates, where he developed strong technical skills in digital design and ceramic finishing. Mark holds a diploma in Dental Technology and specialises in CAD/CAM design using 3Shape, with particular experience in e.max and zirconia restorations across crowns, bridges, veneers, implant restorations, and complex multi-unit cases.
