Ibrahim Issa Kayiira is Emirates College Idaad 'O' level theology star

Wakiso: Ibrahim Issa Kayiira has scooped a prestigious trophy having emerged as best overall candidate in the 2025 Idaad ‘O’ level theology national examination at Emirates college Wakiso.
The development came to light 14th June 2026 during the college Idaad thanks giving Duwa held at the college attended by several dignitaries including parents,students and key Islamic scholars among others.
The college director of studies for theology Shiekh Abubakar Lukyamuzi unveiled their 96 former Idaad candidates that graduated on 29th November 2025 from the Islamic university in Uganda [IUIU] Kampala campus.
He said 61 passed in grade one, 13 in second, 13 in third while 7 emerged in fourth grade respectively who all qualified and awarded certificates of merit from IUIU.and can proceed to study Thanawi at HSC level who in turn can enrol for Degree at IUIU in Islamics
Ibrahim Issa Kayiira scored 98.2%, followed closely by Kalule Abubakar,Mirembe Mariam Abudallah ,Suhayirah Janalilah Mutibwa and Hawa Abudallah Nadia respectively.
Lukyamuzi congratulated the students for the efforts and encouraged them to stand firm and practice what they learnt.
The college headmistress Mariam Nakiyingi said her college was ranked top at national level by IUIU management which sets the exams saying they are determined to ensure that their students excel both at theology and secular such that they can serve their future country with dignity.
She observed that the college was moving towards becoming a sciences based institution given the emerging global educational trends and as such of their 105 aspring UACE candidates 2026.75 are majoring in sciences subjects.
Nakiyingi thanked the parents and guardians for entrusting them with their children saying Emirates college was the right place with full capabilities of offering an all round education package to the students
On behalf of the parents both Ramathan Muwonge and hajjati Malukiya Hawula appreciated the efforts of the college in providing quality education to their sons and daughters.
They said improved discipline among the students was evident as well as security and improved welfare of the teachers which are signs of stead progress.
