I never thought that working as a housemaid would turn my life around in such an unexpected way. I come from a modest village in Western Kenya, where my parents survived on farming, and I learned the importance of hard work from an early age.

After completing secondary school, I couldn’t afford to join college, so I moved to Nairobi in search of a job. That’s how I ended up being employed by a wealthy family in Runda as their live-in maid. The mansion was huge, the salary was modest, but I appreciated the opportunity.

The family had a single daughter named Anita. She was 24, attractive, and spoiled beyond measure. She never did any chores, woke up late, tossed her clothes anywhere, and scolded me over the tiniest issues.
