“How I Managed to Excel in My National Exams” – Sarah Shares Her Experience

My name is Sarah, and I come from Masaka in Central Uganda. Like many young people, I grew up believing that education is the key to success. My parents always reminded me that if I studied hard, I could secure a good job and build a bright future. I took my studies seriously from a young age, but when it came to national exams, I faced challenges that almost shattered my dreams.
During my final year in secondary school, I had to prepare for the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE). These exams determine whether a student can proceed to higher levels, so the pressure was immense. Even though I studied diligently, I struggled with concentration, stress, and anxiety. Every time I sat to revise, my mind would go blank. Sometimes, I would read for hours, only to forget most of what I had studied by the next day. As the exams approached, my fear intensified.
