“How I Finally Won a Land Battle in Uganda – Peter’s True Testimony”

My name is Peter, and I come from Iganga district in Eastern Uganda. For many years, I endured a painful land conflict that almost tore my family apart. The land in question was our ancestral property, where both my father and grandfather had lived and cultivated. After my father passed on, one of my uncles decided to grab the land and claim it as his own. He went ahead to court and filed a case against me, insisting that I had no right to own it. Deep inside, I knew the land belonged to me, but from the way events were unfolding, it looked like I was on the verge of losing everything.
The court case went on for more than two years. I hired lawyers, attended numerous court hearings, and spent huge sums of money trying to defend my rights. Each time I felt close to victory, something unexpected would happen to drag the matter further. At some point, I even suspected that powerful people were working against me. My uncle carried himself with so much confidence, almost as if nothing could touch him, and that left me bitter and discouraged. Friends and relatives suggested that I sell part of the land to raise money and settle the matter, but I could not agree to that. I wanted justice and I was determined to protect what rightfully belonged to my family.TO READ MORE, TAP HERE
