Drama : As Ugandans Play Money Heist in Soroti Equity Bank.

Police in soroti town has faced a moment of truth trying to cease a bank robbery with armed robbers , the likes of money heist, Tuesday morning.
The incident happened at some of the branches of Equity Bank Uganda as the suspected robbers allegedly had taken upon some security guards as hostages or human shields to support in the success of the heist.
Just like in the money heist movie, a team of special forces was tasked to man the robbers inside the bank, but in this Soroti scenario, the hostage situation also called for the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) team that over shadowed police as the condition was now getting out of control.
The security operations have been led by Capt. Moses Emeju who declined to comment anything in the press, after neutralizing the robbers a couple of hours later.
Francis Erumu, the branch bank manager mentioned that no money has been taken by robbers though they tried accessing it since from last night, according to their security team.
The incident also led to closure of access roads towarythe bank by the security teams , as more UPDF commandos were being deployed. Police has not yet released an official statement on the matter.
