Dei Biopharma’s IVP health products eyes to boost Somalia export at Uganda -Somalia joint exhibition in Kampala.

Uganda and Somalia on 7th October 2025 signed 3 bilateral trade agreements to strengthen migration, security, education among others during the 2nd Joint Permanent Council session held at Mestil hotel in Kampala where Kampala declaration was sealed to affirm the commitment.
During a joint investment and trade exhibition at the sidelines of the council session, various exhibitors displayed their products to the delegates from the two countries for business opportunities.

At the Dei Biopharma’s exhibition booth a range of health medicines were displayed to the ministers from Uganda and Somalia and other delegates that attended the joint session including Intra vetro diagnosis (IVD) health products, testing kits for malaria and HIV, fluid injectables, tablets such as Doxycline, paracetamol, Metformin among others
While speaking to the representative of Dei Biopharma, Mugabi Evelyn the Business Development Officer and a Pharmacist told the media with the ministers that the company got approval to manufacturer anti cancer and veterinary vaccines.
“We were approved to go ahead and the anti cancer vaccine manufacturing is in the pipeline, once the structures are finalized. We are also got approval to manufacture veterinary vaccines” she said.

During a press conference during the expo two Minister highlighted on the commitment to implement the declaration while calling upon investor to leverage on the opportunities existing in the two countries to boost bilateral trade.
The state minister of foreign affairs and regional cooperation Hon. John Mutundwe motivated Uganda’s business exporters to take advantage of the market demand in Somalia and the conducive environment created by the bilateral agreement.
“There is free movement of goods with a huge demand. Somalia has the longest coast to link east Africa to access global markets, there is a warm bilateral cooperation” he said
