Centenary Bank pledges to offer financial literacy packages to Zam Zam Skilling Centre Uganda graduates

The Centenary Bank manager for youth, women and refugees Prossy Namubiru has pledged her Bank ‘s commitment to offer specialized financial literacy packages to the graduates from the ZamZam Skilling Centre Uganda as well as offer insurance cover for their loan products and linking them to the market among other empowerment programs.
She made the remarks 27th November 2025 during the 5th graduation ceremony for the ZamZam Skilling Centre Uganda held at Sekyana junior school sports grounds in Maganjo Nansana municipality Wakiso district where over 625 students walked away with certificates in various fields of training.
Namubiru told the excited congregation that the Bank was proud to have fully sponsored the graduation ceremony and would go ahead to offer UGX2m for each of the five different groups that graduated as a startup capital and encouraged them to embrace their SUPERWOMAN loan package which was the best and capable of enabling them become successful young women in business.
She commended the conducive environment the Bank enjoys with the ZamZam Skilling Centre Uganda led by hajjati ZamZam Nakabugo Namubiru for the five year consistence in offering free skills training opportunities to hundreds of young women and men which development has given hope for many of them with most currently running successful small businesses.
The senior presidential advisor on Kampala Metropolitan affairs hajjati Sarah Kanyike who was chief guest commended Zamzam for the initiative saying it had empowered many young people in fighting household poverty and pledged that the government would endeavor to extend assistance to such determined people.
‘We met with Zamzam at Kakungulu high school Bombo last year during their music dance and drama function and having heard from her speech about the progress of extending free skills training programs to many young people touched my heart leading to the friendship with her’ noted Kanyike.
She congratulated them with caution that as they move out they need to take care of their health as well as encouraging them to vote for the NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for protecting the party’s gains.
The inspector general of police [IGP] Abass Byakagaba who was represented by SP Alaso Immaculate the Kampala Metropolitan North [KMP] police division urged the young people to desist from criminal activities as well as taking drugs which cases are on the increase within the division saying parents need to play their role of counselling their children especially during this long festive season.
The manager of Fatisha Bestlook skillingh Centre in Kakungulumira sub county, Kayunga district hajjati Wamusango Fatuma told the audience that she has been able to extend skills training opportunities to hundreds of young boys and girls from the rural communities of Kayunga especially around Kangulumira who have appreciated the gesture and have now set up own small holder businesses.
Zanzam Namubiru who doubles as the NRM flag bearer for Maganjo 1 parish direct Nansana municipality councilor urged the residents to support her candidature by voting for her into office such that she can lobby for better and effective services especially economic empowerment programs from the government.
