Kampala, Uganda – Get ready, East Africa! Cavendish University Uganda (CUU) is making higher education more accessible and affordable than ever before. In a groundbreaking move, and in line with East African Community (EAC) guidelines, CUU has drastically harmonized its fees structure for all new and continuing East African students.

"We're implementing a flat fee structure for East African international students, directly aligning with an EAC directive," a university statement confirmed. This exciting change aims to significantly ease the financial burden on families and open the doors to quality higher education for more students across the region, effective January 2026. With the new semester kicking off on February 10th, the timing couldn't be better!

What does this mean for you? Students from South Sudan, Somalia, Tanzania, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of Congo will now pay the exact same tuition fees as Ugandan nationals. No more inflated international rates – just one fair price for everyone within the EAC!

Marvin Isoke, a parent with a student at Cavendish University, shared his enthusiasm: "Tuition fees are no longer higher for internationals; they are equalized with local Ugandan rates. This will favor all of us!"

This isn't just about fees; it's about fostering regional integration and championing accessibility. CUU is leading the way in making education a shared opportunity for the entire East African community.
