Calabash Speke Apartments to host Pilates fundraiser this Saturday

Calabash Speke Apartments has teamed up with Karuna Wellness Studio to host a special "Pilates for a Purpose" session set to take palce this Sarturday  October 24, 2026, starting at 7:30 AM.

The session cause is to raises breast cancer awareness and support, with all proceeds donated directly to the Uganda Cancer Society.

For Participation, attendees are requested to make a minimum donation of Shs 50,000 and will receive refreshments and goodies with spots booked via 0764 000 344.

Announced on Monday, 19th October 2026, the event has been organized as part of Pink October activities  bringing together participants for a morning of various exercise, awareness sessions.

The organisers said the initiative is aimed at encouraging people to take part in activities that promote healthy living while supporting the fight against breast cancer.

“Pink October is more than wearing pink; it is about standing with people affected by breast cancer and turning awareness into meaningful action. Through this Pilates session, we want to create a space where people can come together, stay active and contribute to a cause that affects many families,” the organisers said.

Also rolled out heavily in October at Calabash is a new gentle, light-pressure Lymphatic Drainage Massage designed to reduce puffiness and ease body tension.
