Butiki College Sports Finale Gala set for 29th November in Jinja.

SPORTS: All roads shall be heading to Jinja city next weekend for the Butiki college grand league Finale sports gala where the old students would participate in friendly sports activities with the main goal of raising funds for a major medical camp back at the college.
The development came to light 22nd November 2025 during a news conference they held at the YES sports arena grounds in Nsambya were the league bosses unveiled the listed set of activities to be conducted during the week leading to the climax of the event to be held at Ruck yard sports club in Jinja city former Dam waters.
The vice president of the Butiki league Mathias Okolimong said they are excited to be hosting this 2025 grand finale sports gala in Jinja as a give back gesture to their college which nurtured them and would be running a series of activities including a medical camp on 28th November targeting the community around the Butiki college hill.
He noted that the medical camp would offer free healthcare related services as well as offer free 200 packs of reusable sanitary pads to the vulnerable girl child community staying around the college.
Mathias used the opportunity to rally all friends and fans of Butiki college to join them and have fun with them as they participate in several listed sports activities and they raise funds to procure medical items and the pads.
The league legal advisor counsel Ndijo Sam said Butiki College had nurtured thousands of people currently serving in various high level offices across the leadership divide who should take a step and return to support such events as give back because it counts once you give back to a vulnerable person in need.
The communications officer Jordan Muwanguzi said they started the campaign in 2019 with a small number of teams which have currently grown to over 20 which is a positive gesture that the old boys are steadily returning to give back to the college through participation in such sporting activities.
They thanked their main sponsors including Nile Breweries, Sema Bet Uganda and Kiri beverages Ltd while partners include Caring mind, for health care services, Ride now and Trahas bedside care services among others.
