Businessman Ham invites Akon back to Uganda on private business

Reliable sources have revealed that Africa-American artist of Senegal Origin Aliaune Damala Badara Thiam aka Akon made a visit to Uganda privately on the invitation of Businessman Hamis Kiggundu.  

Akon last met with Ham three months ago in Dubai during the recently concluded Dubai Expo.

In September last year, the Senegalese-American singer endorsed Ham’s ‘Hamz App’. Hamz App is a short-form video app with real short videos for Entertainment, Motivation, and the Latest world updates.

Meanwhile, Akon has an ambitious plan to build Akon City in Uganda. The project will feature amenities such as shopping malls, stadiums, and recreational facilities, and will operate under his cryptocurrency Akoin.

The cost of the construction or date of commencement of the construction of Akon city has not been disclosed. However, the project is expected to be completed by 2036.

Singer Akon who was recently offered land for his Akon City project in Uganda met with businessman Hamis Kiggundu at the Uganda stall at the Dubai Expo.

The investor who promised to set up a futuristic city in Uganda dubbed Akon City arrived in the country on Friday evening and was received at the Airport by Ham’s team.

It is, however, not yet clear why the investor’s visitation was not organized by the government as has been the case in the past trips.

Credible sources have revealed that Akon could be planning to abandon the government project of setting up the Akon city to engage in private dealings with the private individuals like Ham with whom they can partner to run several investments.

It is said that from Entebbe International Airport, Akon was driven direct to Ham’s multibillion mansion along Lake Victoria shores where he will be putting up as well as celebrating the forthcoming Eid festivals.
