City Businessman Hamis Kiggindu who was honored by President of Uganda HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a mission to discuss partnerships arrangements in agro-processing, value addition and setting up an agro-bank in Uganda that according to Ham will benefit Ugandans.

“Am currently in the UAE discussing business partnerships for Agro-Processing, value addition and setting up Ham Agro-Bank which will see the majority of Ugandans become direct beneficiaries” he said

Ham pictured below, while participating in the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week that is currently running up to Thursday 19th January 2023 said that in line with social collective national development from a reasonable and realistic point of view, Ugandans are to have an opportunity to develop and transform their country.

This year’s Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week’s main objective is to drive the global debate around climate action as the first major sustainability gathering of the year prior to COP28, it is leading the way toward a cleaner, greener future.

This is the 15th Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week a global initiative championed by the UAE to accelerate sustainable development and advance economic, social, and environmental progress.

President Museveni gave an address at the UAE-Uganda Presidential Initiative on Investment Summit held in the capital, Abu Dhabi, where Hamis Kiggundu was invited by the President to discuss partnerships for Agro-Processing, value addition and setting up Ham Agro Bank.

President Museveni appealed to the UAE business community to come and invest in Uganda and take advantage of the many untapped opportunities available in the country.

The President told participants that although Uganda’s economy is growing at 6% per annum, the economy has great potential to grow faster, describing Uganda and the African continent as a gold mine with many untapped business and investment opportunities that he encouraged the United Arab Emirates investors to take advantage of.

Hamis Kiggundu joined president Museveni’s delegation in UAE to woo investors to Uganda on the first cross-border official visit for the year 2023.
