It’s common for parents to be worried about their child's travel comfort before beginning the journey, especially those who are travelling with babies for the first time. However, if you have decided to travel your journey with Allegiant Airlines, then worrying is worthless because the airline has provided almost every facility that ensures a safe journey.

In this guide, you will learn about the airline's baby policy, the process to add a minor to my Allegiant flight, and much more, which will help you commence your journey trouble-free.

Allegiant Airlines Baby Policy: Key Highlights

Babies can travel on a flight, but some terms come with flying with Allegiant Airlines. Therefore, the various important instructions given below will help you travel with a baby on flights, and accordingly, you are required to follow the points given below very well:

  • As per the airline's baby policy, your little ones can travel on your lap or in a separate seat, being fastened in an FAA-approved car seat.
  • Infants under 24 months will only be classified as infants and can travel on an accompanying adult's lap (infants on laps may travel free of charge). However, children aged above 2 years can’t travel as lap infants and they must travel on a purchased separate seat.
  • According to the airline’s baby policy, children under 15 are not allowed to travel alone on the flight. Hence, they must be accompanied by an adult who is 15 years of age or older.
  • Allegiant Airlines recommends that babies under 40 pounds be secured in an FAA-approved car seat.
  • The airline requires an infant's age-proof certificate, such as the baby’s birth certificate, passport, or other government-issued ID, when adding the infant to the ticket and during boarding. However, the parents must carry the age-proof certificates or documents and present them during boarding.

How Do I Add A Minor To My Allegiant Flight Ticket?

To add a minor to your Allegiant flight ticket, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Dial 1 (702) 505-8888 to speak with the airline's official representative, or call +1-855-879-1056 to communicate with a flight expert. The airline suggests that you and other travelers contact another available number if the official number is not connecting due to network issues.
  • Next, listen to the IVR prompts and follow them to connect with one of the available official representatives.
  • After the call connects, request to add a minor to my Allegiant flight ticket.
  • Next, submit the required information as requested by the officials.
  • Afterward, present the age-proof certificate, which justifies the child’s age.
  • If required, then pay the applicable charges and complete the payment procedure.
  • Once the procedure of infant addition is complete, wait for the confirmation email.

Can I Travel With More Than One Baby On Allegiant Airlines?

According to the airline's infant policy, one adult is allowed to carry only one child in their lap during the flight journey. However, if you are travelling with more than one baby at a time, the other babies will have to travel in an FAA-approved car seat. The airline doesn’t allow more than one infant to be on a lap during the flight journey for safety reasons.

Winding Up!

If your babies are under 2 years of age, then they can travel on their parents’ laps or in a reserved, separate seat.
