6th Annual Insurance Week officially launched to boost awareness
From Thursday 19th March to 26th March 2026, The Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) together with other insurance firms and partners are in a week long insurance week designed according to organisers aimed at boosting awareness on the currents and new techoin the insurance space in Uganda where Uganda’s can insure all their earned wealth, health among other policies.
During the official launch of the week, on Monday 23rd March 2016 at the City Square in Kampala, The CEO IRA Alhaj Kaddunabbi Ibrahim , following a match in Kampala said that this years event aimed at bringing insurance services closer to the people and demystifying the sector while encouraging them to insure their hard earned wealth.
“We wanted to get out of our offices to Constitutional Square so that the public can access us easily for queries on insurance. Whatever you have and has value, please insure it” he aid
He said that the insurance fraternity is one of the bridges that the country need to grow through protecting properties, individual and risks.
Mr. Paul Seremba
Mr. Saul Seremba, CEO of the Insurance Training College, said the institution partnered in the initiative to help build trust and strengthen understanding of insurance among Ugandans.
“We are not here to make money, but to showcase our services and support the public to understand insurance,” he said.
Mr Elias Edu, from the Uganda Insurers Association (UIA), said that “We’re there to serve the insuring public,”
Various insurance companies, government officials, bankers, technology firms among others exhibited in this year’s the week
