5th East Africa Quality Brand awards celebrate companies contribution to regional economic growth.

On 17th October 2025, Over 100 companies manufacturing and providing various products and services respectively were recognized for their excellence, innovation and contributions to the economic development of the East African region and beyond.
The recognition by the 5fh East Africa Quality brands award was held last night at Golf Course hotel in Kampala where winning companies were granted a quality mark which the organisers said will enable them trade in Africa and in foreign markets.
The 5rh edition was under the theme "Global Visionaries and Puoneers- Revolutionalising quality through sustainable innovation”

Speaking at the event, Patrick Nsubuga the Brand Ambassador East of Africa Brand Quality Awards and Alconext Africa said that these awards serve as a platform for the recognition of sustainable ethical and innovative practices that are trading the growth of the East African region and beyond.
Nsubuga urged traders to leverage trade as a means to shape global development and foster peace.
“At the heart of this whole celebration, is trade, trade is more than just the exchange of goods at service, it’s a powerful tool for achieving united nations sustainable trade, we have the potential to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that everyone in every corner can enjoy peace and prosperity,” said.
He reflected on the journey of the awards saying that since 2000 over organisations have been evaluated including manufactures, Civila sociaty organisations, Service providers among others.
“Since 2000, our vision has been to create a platform that recognizes and evaluates quality across East African region. Shaping industres, empowering the community and positioning East Africa countries” he aaid
He added that through the investors Hub, manufacturers have over the years benefitted in marketing their prodicts globally and connected to other foreign markets.
“The reason as to why we have come together with other partners is to support you have ready markets for your markets. We have a portal whereby we are connecting you manufacturers with other distributors from other countries,” he said.
Prudence Kasibante Ukkonika is the CEO of Bella Wines and Juices called upon fellow manufacturers to support local companies while searching for suppliers and service providers which she said will provide employment, pay taxes and other string benefits.
Mr. Kennedy Omondi Country Representative of Indomimie Ltd the producers of Noodles and other products said that their company was recoginised for their quality products, availability and affordability of the brands.
Among other award winners includes Bakama Property, Huawei Technologies, Kampala City Industries, Movit Products Ltd, Biva organic, Eye care, Gold crown Beverages, Hariss international, Plascom, Aqua Industries, Simba auto mobiles, Buloba Royal College, Kampala International University, Kumirizi Farm co among others.
