2024 Mityana District USSSA Football Championships:
Quarter-finals (Tuesday, 26th March):
- Ssingo SS Vs MUMUSA High School
- St. Francis Busunju Vs Tammu SS
- Royal Giant Vs Kiwawu SS
- St. Francis Mityana Vs Naama Mordern

The football competition for Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) in Mityana district has reached the quarter-final stage.
This follows the successful completion of the group stages and round of 16 duels on Monday, 25th March 2024.
Next in the pipeline is the quarter final level on Tuesday, 26th March 2024 at the MItyana Ssaza grounds.
MItyana district football defending champions Ssingo SS face MUMUSA High School in the early morning contest.
This will be followed by the tie between St. Francis Busunju and Tammu SS.
Big favourites and record winners Royal Giant High School will be in the mix against Kiwawu S.S.
St. Francis Mityana shall take on Naama Modern school in the last game of the day.
On Monday, Naama Modern School overcame Lukingiridde S.S 3-0. MUMUSA High school humilitated Ssekanyoonyi Bright School 5-0.
Mityana Town School were ejected by Kiwawu SS 6-5 in post match penalties after 0-0 in normal time.
St Francis Busunju eliminated Alliance High School 7-6 in post match penalties after another goal-less draw.
James Kaweesi, head coach at St Francis Busunju predicts a big battle in their match against Taamu S.S but remains hopeful of a great performance to qualify for the semi-finals and finals.
“We are determined to face Taamu S.S. Of course, it will not be an easy match but we expect to work hard and make it through to the semifinals and finals” Kaweesi remarked.
The semi-finals and finals will be played on Wednesday, 27th March 2024.
The two finalists will make the grade to the up-coming zonals to determine who will represent the zone at the nationals in Masaka.
