The Chancellor UTAMU Dr. Patrick Bitature confers degrees, diplomas to graduates at the 9th graduation
Uganda Technology and Management University (UTAMU) held their 9th Graduation Ceremony on November 22nd 2024 held at Kungu the university’s main Campus.
UTAMU Chancellor, Dr. Patrick Bitature constitutes the congregation of the university there after giving the best students certificates of excellence.
The top students included; Semion Kizza Ssali, best student in the graduate school of Technology, Computing and Engineering, Mutekho Ronald, best student undergraduate, School of Technology, Computing and Engineering, Okoo Tobby, best student in graduate business school.
Bitature said that as graduates face the world of work there is a need to utilize the skills and knowledge gained to purse opportunities while taking along the same grit.
"As you step forward into the next chapter of your lives, i urge you to carry with you the same grit and resolve that brought you here today. The challenges and opportunities of the real world await and I am confident that you will rise to meet them" he said

Professor Venansius Baraymureeba the Chairman of UTAMU said that "African students lack skills in African culture, science, and technology. UTAMU is a pan-African University and we want to impart on our students skills in African culture, science and technology."
At the same graduation, we whitened the awarding of a degree to the Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, who is the former Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs in the Cabinet of Uganda, who graduated with a Masters at Uganda Technology and Management University.
Vice Chancellor. Prof. Fred Paul Mark Jjunju said that "This university has evolved into a beacon of excellence, innovation and leadership in Uganda and beyond."
UTAMU is a private university that was accredited by the National Council for Higher Education in March 2013, in accordance with the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions 2001 as amended.
UTAMU offers academic programs at all levels of the Higher Education System with opportunities for every individual interested in pursuing university education at Certificate, Bachelors, Postgraduate Diploma, Master and PhD levels in 3 intakes of January, May and September of every year.
