ROKO Construction Scoops Platinum Award for Quality Excellence at East African Brand Quality Awards 2025/2026
KAMPALA, UGANDA — ROKO Construction Limited has been honored with the prestigious Platinum Award for Quality Excellence at the East African Brand Quality Awards 2025/2026.
The high-profile ceremony took place at Hotel Africana in Kampala under the theme “Global Visionaries of Quality: Pioneering Sustainable Innovations, Advancing Technology and Value Addition.” Uganda’s Vice President, H.E. Jessica Alupo, graced the event as the guest of honor.
Jointly organized by Consumer Choice Awards Africa, Investors Hub, and iNet, the regional awards program evaluates and celebrates leading brands across nine countries in East and Southern Africa. This year, more than 250 brands were recognized from a pool of 370 nominees spanning 230 categories, with selection criteria grounded in quality, reliability, and consumer trust—supported by the UK-based Chartered Quality Institute (CQI).
Celebrating Five Decades of Engineering Excellence:
Commenting on the milestone, ROKO Construction Limited Chairman Mark Koehler said the Platinum Award reflects the company’s longstanding dedication to craftsmanship and innovation.
“This recognition is a testament to the dedication and professionalism of our workforce and our continued commitment to delivering high-quality construction projects. For more than five decades, ROKO has contributed to Uganda’s development through engineering expertise, skilled craftsmanship and reliable project delivery,” Koehler said.
He expressed deep appreciation to ROKO’s workforce of more than 1,850 employees, as well as its clients, partners, and stakeholders. “Our success is built on the hard work of our people and the confidence our clients place in us. We remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety while contributing to Uganda’s long-term development.”
A Proven Track Record in Uganda's Infrastructure:
The regional accolade builds on a wave of recent praise for ROKO’s contribution to the national economy. Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony for the Uganda Bureau of Statistics Entebbe Office Block, Minister of State for Finance, Planning and Economic Development Hon. Henry Musasizi lauded ROKO as Uganda's premier local construction company, highlighting its reliability and extensive portfolio.
Recently, ROKO completed the new headquarters for the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Kampala, further anchoring its reputation for delivering complex public infrastructure.
