PRAU set to host 3rd Annual Public Relations Symposium, unveils sponsors

The Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU) has announced the launch of its highly anticipated 3rd Annual National Public Relations Symposium. The symposium set to take place on 7th June 2024 at Golf Course Hotel in Kampala.

According to the organizers, the event features a distinguished line-up of industry players and speakers from government CSOs, Private sector, Academia among others.

The theme of the symposium is: Advocating PR Excellence through emerging trends”

During the press conference held at Nation Media Head Offices in Namuwongo, the official media partner, The Vice President PRAU Mr. Paul Mwirigi revealed that this year's event will be graced by The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon Thomas Tayebwa who will be the Chief Guest flanked and key nit Speaker by The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon. Chris Baryomunsi alongside other esteemed speakers.

"The symposium is expected to attract professionals, from marketing, advertising, communication, as well as students and aspiring professionals providing an apport unity to learn, network. Thomas Tayebwa (MP) Rt. Hon Deputy Speaker of Parliament of Uganda is set to be the Guest of Honour and keynote speaker" he said

In a statement by The President PRAU Tina Wamala read by the Vice President said "By providing opportunity for professionals to come together and engage in industry-wide industry discussion, we are fostering an environment that encourages collaboration, growth and innovation" 

The sponsors of the symposium expressed gratitude to supporting the industry including; Stanbic, Nation Media Group, CIC insurance, UMEME, Uganda Breweries and KCCA. 

According to the organisers that registration for the symposium is open to participants who will pay a registration fee of 70,000/- for students, 150,000/- for PRAU members and 200,000/- for non-members. 

The Head of Communications at Stanbic Bank, Mr Kenneth Agutamba said he was excited to join and support PRAU adding that that the symposium is an important platform to share experience and learn from each other in the difference professionals. He said that the story of Stanbic Bank in leading the financial sector need to be shared which he said will inspire many.
