Rally Driver Lwakataka Receive UGX 25 Million Boost from Ruparelia Group Towards his Return Rally 

Rally driver Ponsiano Lwakataka’s hunt for 220 million Uganda shillings has been reduced by 25 million, thanks to the Ruparelia Group of Companies, which came out to support his campaign.

 The two-time national rally champion is also organising a fundraising sprint due on September 20 at Garuga.

Ruparelia Group handed the cheaque to the ace driver as contribution towards his fundraising drive to acquire a motorsport car.

During the handover ceremony, Lwakataka thanked the Ruparelia Group for supporting his comeback and called on rally fans to attend the fundraising event.

“I am really happy and I want to assure our fans that the day of the unveiling of the rally car will be special. I call upon all rally fans to come to Garuga and see our car,” he said.

Lwakataka plans to also celebrate his 25 year career in motorsport during the coming rallythrough various avenues including selling a memorial magazine at UGX 10,000

Talking about bis car he said “The car we have been driving was long and was named Snake. Now the name has changed. This is Rabbit, and I believe it is going to change everything. With this one, I believe Rabbit will jump in the same direction,”
