Prosper Nursery and Primary School Gayaza holds 10th Speech day with a calling for enhanced parents’ support to their programs.

On 23rd November 2025, Prosper Nursery and Primary School based in Gayaza town held the school’s annual speech day for the 10th time since the establishment of the school.  

The management of the school express gratitude to the parents for the support to the school and the care to the children.

The Chairperson of Bulamu Deputy, A. Birungi applauded the parents of the area she leads and the love they continue to exhibit to the school

“Thank you for loving prosper you all know the school teaches well. We commend the Director and the teacher especially the young kids from the very young age. Also the parents thanks for taking care of the kids, and paying school fees” she said

She urged the residents of the area to maintain a clean environment by collecting solid waste and depositing it to the right place.

“I also thank those ones who keep the place clean and in the entire village. Let’s embrace environment protection”

She contributed UGX100,000 towards the school budget to support school programs.

The aspiring Councilor Sarah Sirajje for Bulamu village took advance of the celebration an asked residents for votes in nest years general elections with the symbol of a house.

“I love children, I want to extend skilling program in this area and provide bursaries once voted on 4th February 2026 pledging to contribute to the school programs.

Student Choirs code named Genesis and Revelation entertained the parents with dances, Drama and folk songs.

The Director of Prosper Nursery and Primary school, Mrs. Kintu Prossy reminded the parents that the school has been teaching for the last 10 years since it’s establishment but gave back the glory to God who she said has been in the middle of all the achievements of the school. 

“We are celebrating 10 years of existence. It’s not our own power but Gods, Ebenezer God has made us who we are, because they are various challenges” she said

She reported that the school’s performance has been registered at a high rate calling upon more children from the parents next year.

“When your child starts with our kindergarten be sure that they will be successful in school, they have performed well in exams” she said.

She commended the management and teaching and non teaching staff for he school’s growth while urging parents to enroll more children to the school and ensure fees clearance to ensure smooth operation of the school.

The speech day celebration attracted various dignitaries including Evangelist Kasule Gerald and Salongo Luyima from Masanafu Kampala.

Gerald Kasule a Church leader, told the parents to embrace the culture of praying with their child as a foundation for their future.

While quoting Psalms 37, he said that with God parents can shine in the midst of challenges

He particularly urged father’s to embrace responsibility to find time and monitor their children activities while at school as he applauded the mothers for taking lead in taking care of the children.

“While educating the children stand strong with school going children for a strong foundation. Praying with them to minimize challenges” he said.

He led a powerful prayer along with children, parents and well wishes of the school.

Salongo Luyima in his side emphasised that “in everything you are doing God must be in the midst. For children to think well and be clever there is a need for children to sleep in time” he said He pledged to contribute 30,000/- toward the school program.

Director Introducing the teachers to parents 

Among the teachers introduced by the Director included Teacher Ida of P1, Judith of P1to P3, Charity of baby class, Jesca overall admin, Joy of lower class in English, Peninah of upper class in SST, Grace a pioneer teacher, Prossy lower class, Angel, Jovan P7 science and maths, an Co-Director Mr Kintu Musoke among others. 

THE Pioneer teacher Grace Birungi thanked Parents who made it to the school speech day and trusting them with the pupils especially Baby class. She called for new pupils since her will be empty because they have graduated to upper classes next year.

LC. V aspiring direct councilor Damulira Simon, resident of Bulamu Deputy called for support for the leadership roles with voting him in next general elections. As a resident of this area let’s vote for a fellow resident. Symbol is football.

He promised to provide scholarships to children of the area through their mothers which he said has been going on with investors starting with next term
