Packers and Movers in Indore: How to Compare Quotes
Compare Indore packers and movers by review count, inclusions, insurance and a written itemised quote. Checks to run before you book a local move.
Justdial's Indore directory lists 575+ packers and movers, with an average rating of 4.4 from 14,722 ratings and reviews as on 22 October 2026. Those are Justdial's figures, built from what users chose to post. They aren't an independent test, and a rating alone doesn't prove how a mover will treat your furniture.
The review counts matter as much as the stars. On Justdial's listings, Patel Packers & Movers shows 4.9 across 1,045 reviews, Samrat Enterprises 4.9 across 225, and Neha Packers & Movers 4.7 across 287. Shree Mahakal Logistics Pvt Ltd shows 4.6 across 365, and it appears twice in the directory with the same rating and count. At the thin end, Clement Logistics Packers and Movers shows a perfect 5.0 from 2 ratings, while Shriram Super Fast Roadlines shows 3.5 from 2. Two reviews tell you almost nothing, so treat a high score on a small count with care.
Take these as names to start from, not a ranking. Many listings cluster around Dewas Naka and the Ring Road, but others are elsewhere in the city, such as Arya Packers Movers and Transport near Silicon City and Ujala Relocation Packers and Movers at Khajrana Square. Pick three or four that suit your area and type of move, then compare them on the checks below.
Movers also run their own pages. Agarwal Packers and Movers lists an Indore branch manager and an address in Scheme No. 134. Homelink Packers and Movers describes itself as serving Indore, Ujjain and Dewas. Porter runs an app-based service. Each of these is a business describing itself, so check the details as you would any other claim.
Match the service to your move, and verify the quote
Different moves need different things, and prices follow. For a local household move, look for listings under "Within City" categories. For a move to another city or state, look for "All India" categories. National Packers and Movers' Indore page, for one, puts a 1 BHK local move within 15 km at ₹4,000-7,000 and an inter-state one at ₹12,000-20,000. It also says neighbouring states take 1-3 days and southern and western states 5-7 days by its own container trucks. Those are that company's claims and estimates, not a standard.
Small local moves have another option. Porter says rates start at ₹749 and lists 1 BHK at ₹2,200, 2 BHK at ₹4,500 and 3 BHK at ₹6,200, with a note that prices vary with the quantity of goods. It says you can book a within-city move 5 hours ahead and an intercity move 24 hours ahead. Porter's page also lists bike transport, packing and unpacking, and add-ons such as appliance installation.
Offices, vehicles and storage are usually priced separately. Justdial's listings show Ujala Relocation at ₹9,500 per session for office moves and Patel Packers & Movers at ₹9,000 per package for office shifting. Patel's listed rates for bike and car shifting are ₹4,000 and ₹9,000 per package, and Karmath Logistics lists bike shifting at ₹1,500 per session. For storage, Homelink says it offers warehousing and storage along with car and bike transport, and Agarwal's page lists self storage and warehousing among its services.
Directory prices don't agree with each other. Justdial's own indicative table gives 1 BHK as ₹8,000-15,000 and office relocation as ₹25,000-50,000. Its FAQ on the same page says local house shifting usually starts around ₹3,000-5,000 for a BHK. The table says its prices are approximate and that you should discuss your requirements with the mover to get an accurate quote. Individual listing prices, such as Samrat Enterprises' ₹3,000 per session for residential shifting, are only starting points. What counts is a written, itemised quote for your own move: your floor, your stairs or lift, your distance and your list of items.
Ask for a pre-move survey where you can. Homelink says it does one before sending a quotation, and National Packers says it gives a free survey before a final quote. A mover who has seen your home can price it far more accurately than one working from a phone call.
Checks before booking
Begin with who you're dealing with. Confirm the exact business name, the physical office address and, as Justdial's FAQ advises, the GST registration. A GST label appears beside a few listings, such as Divya Express and Welcome Logistics, but a label on a directory page isn't proof. Generic names like "Best Packers and Movers" are easy to confuse with others, and duplicated listings like Shree Mahakal's are a reason to ask which office will do your move.
Next, pin down the scope. Ask whether the quote covers packing, loading, transport, unloading and unpacking, and whether packing material is included. Justdial's guidance says to check for extra charges for stairs, heavy items, storage, insurance or long-distance transport, and its FAQ adds long carrying distances, tolls and waiting time. Porter's page says it charges nothing extra for fragile items and that the price on screen is the price you pay. Other movers may not make that promise, so ask each one.
Then ask about protection. Justdial's FAQ says many movers offer transit insurance at extra cost, and that it covers damage or loss during transport, not during packing or unpacking. National Packers says it arranges transit insurance on moves starting from Indore, and Porter lists it as an optional add-on. Whoever you pick, read the policy terms and declare high-value items upfront. Also ask for the list of items the mover won't carry, which Justdial's FAQ says often includes perishables, plants, cash, jewellery and hazardous goods.
Get it all in writing. Justdial's guidance is to request a written quotation, avoid paying the full amount in advance, and be wary of phone-only companies or prices that look unrealistically low. Compare at least two quotes line by line, not just the totals. Confirm the date, pickup time and payment terms, and book early if your move falls in the festive season, which Justdial says runs from September to November, or at a weekend. If a mover advertises a discount, such as the 5% monsoon offer on Patel's listing, ask whether it still applies to your date.
The best mover is the one whose identity, scope, inclusions and price you've confirmed in writing for your particular move. A directory score can help you pick who to call, but only the written quote shows what you'll pay.
