Over 2500 complete studies at 9th Victoria University graduation as Dr. Sudhir offer 100 scholarships
On Tuesday 28th October 2025, Victoria University held their 9th graduation ceremony where over 2500 graduates were conferred with degrees, diplomas, and certificates in various disciplines.
This year’s graduation was held under the theme: “Shaping the Future: Innovation, Digitality and Employability “
During the graduation ceremony at Speke Hotel Munyonyo, the university proprietor Dr. Sudhir & Jyotsna Ruparelia announced 100 scholarships to Outstanding Students in Memory of Late Son Rajiv Ruaperelia.
“In loving memory of the late Rajiv Ruparelia, Dr. Sudhir and Jyotsna Ruparelia have offered 100 Full Scholarships to the best undergraduate students of 9th Graduation of 2025 . So many lives were shaped by his generosity — what a beautiful way to keep his legacy alive,” he stated.
Chief guest, His Majesty William Wilberforce Gabula Nadiope IV, lauded the family’s resilience, urging recipients to innovate for societal good.
The university Vice Chancellor Dr Lawrence Muganga in his remarks reaffirmed the university dedicated strategy to boost real world learning experimental education, and integration of technology including artificial intelligence across all academic discipline.
“We reaffirm our collective mission to transform higher education into adynamic relevant and inclusive experience. We are redefining assessment to focus on what truly matters, creativity, problem solving and adaptability by ensuring that every graduate who leaves our gates is not just employable but future ready,” he stated.
He said that through these approaches the university will continue to pioneer an educational model that is relevant in the job market
“We have prepared you and those following in your foot steps to thrive beyond the class room, equipped with practical skills, digital fluency and the confidence to lead wherever you go,”Muganga assured the graduates.
The University Chancellor Prof Opuda Asibo advised the graduates to use their knowledge acquired to deliver beyond academics in the job market.
“Dedication and good hard work are important as these will reach you responsibility and patience however do not hurry to gratification. Always be good intentionally not only when it suits you for good intention builds good character,” he said.
He added that “Knowledge, good character skills technical, professional, interpersonal and digital and innovations will ensure you employability or even self-employment. share what you have, help others, be a good example and be flexible continue learning for success,”
