“My Wife Abuses Me Every Day, Makes Me Cook, and Scolds Me for Being Poor” Daniel Opens Up

For many years, Daniel from Jinja, Uganda, endured a life filled with pain and humiliation. His wife subjected him to constant abuse, both verbal and physical. Every day, he was forced to cook, clean, and serve her, while she berated him for not being able to bring in enough money to sustain the household. Despite his love for his family and his desire to make them happy, nothing he did was ever enough, and he faced relentless criticism. The continuous mistreatment took a toll on his confidence, mental health, and ability to connect with others. Life felt like an endless cycle of misery, and Daniel often wondered if things would ever improve.
He tried every possible way to turn things around. He worked longer hours, experimented with small business ventures, and even sought advice from family members and local leaders. Yet, nothing changed the behavior of his wife. She continued to belittle him, and Daniel began to lose hope. He felt trapped in his own home, unable to defend himself or earn the respect he so desperately needed.
