Minister Amos Lugoloobi awarded an Honorary Doctorate Award from University of Cuneo, Italy for financial governance and empowerment of women in Africa.

The Minister of State for Planning in the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development Hon Amos Lugolobi has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate Award for Causa by the University of Cuneo, Italy in recognition of his remarkable contribution to economic development, financial governance, and the empowerment of women on the African Continent.
During the convocation ceremony held on 3rd December 2024 the Royal Bombay Yacht Club in Colaba, Mumbai, India, Dr. Mamta Ajit Singh the Director, the Women Entrepreneurs International Chamber of India (WEICI) applauded the minister for his remarkable contribution to Africa.

Convocation ceremony in India
According to Dr Mamta Ajit Singh a Director at The Women Entrepreneurs International Chambers of India was highly honored to organize the Convocation of Honorary Doctorate Award for Causa presented by the University of Cuneo, Italy in Mumbai.
She said that the honorary degree awarded to the Minister is an academic degree for the university conferred to him as a way of honoring his distinguished contributions to economic development, financial governance, and the empowerment of women on the African Continent.
“The primary eligibility criterion for an honorary doctorate is the minister’s significant contribution to the empowerment of women on the African Continent which she said has had a profound impact” the statement partly reads.
She added that the program celebrated the remarkable achievements of Uganda’s Finance Minister, Mr. Amos Lugoloobi, and Mr. Jatinder Vir Sehgal, Director of Shri Ram Gopal School, Gurugram.
“It was a proud moment to present the Honorary Doctorate Honoris Causa, conferred by the University of Cuneo, Italy, in recognition of their exemplary contributions in their respective fields of finance and education” she said
