Legacy on the Move: Luwero Girls Primary School Set to Receive Donation Ahead of Gulu Memorial Rally
Luwero Girls Primary School leaders have expressed anticipation for the Ruparelia Foundation’s charity move with high optimism on tangible benefits and long-term improvements to the school.
The convoy for the “Forever RR” and “Van To Gulu” campaign will make a charity stop at Luwero Girls Primary School on Thursday, October 8, 2026, delivering essential items in memory of the late businessman and rally driver Rajiv Ruparelia.
Announced by team organizer Bukenya Sulaiman, the school visit precedes the sixth round of the 2026 KCB National Rally Championship in Gulu City from October 8 to 10, organized by the Central Motor Club (CMC). Sulaiman noted that the stop honors Rajiv’s lasting spirit of kindness, generosity, and community support.
Sheena Ruparelia, a Ruparelia group trustee and sister to the late Rajiv attended the charity event launch at the Kabira country club on Tuesday.
“I am coming to learn that the motorsport fraternity largely loved Rajiv. Such events do not only bring people together to have fun, but also to give back. The charity chosen is close to my heart – supporting the girl child to continue with their education -respecting the challenges they go through and of course doing something about it is great to us. So, Rajiv legacy will continue to live on,” noted Sheena.
The campaign carries banners reading “Rajiv Ruparelia Legacy Van to Gulu Rally” and “In memory of the late Rajiv Ruparelia”. Following the Luwero visit, the convoy will push north alongside the Ruparelia Foundation to donate dry rations—including sugar, rice, soap, posho, milk, and beans—to the Gulu Disabled Persons Union on Friday, October 9, coinciding with Independence Day. Event organizer Saeed Kaketo emphasized that the outreach preserves Rajiv’s deep connection to motorsport and public service.
The Ruparelia Foundation is set to launch others significant charitable initiatives while in Gulu, aiming to make a positive impact on the local community in various areas as education, healthcare, and community empowerment.
The Ruparelia Foundation’s charity engagement in Luweero and Gulu is anticipated to create a positive ripple effect, potentially inspiring other organizations to contribute the community.
