Kiara Event’s Baby & Kids Expo EA kicks off with a call to parents to invest in early learning.
The Baby & Kids Expo EA 2026 organized by Kiara Events has opened under the theme “Care Before Crisis’’ running from 16th to 17th May 2026 at UMA Show ground Multi purpose hall starting at 9:00am to 7:00pm.
This year’s theme, accord to organizers sets the tone for activities designed to equip both children and parents with practical skills, creative outlets and expert guidance.
“This year parents will come and enjoy with their kids as they showcase talents and learn a lot more from tailoring, robotics, molding, spelling competitions, other skills and also empowerment from key presenters,” said Joweria Nabuuma, Managing Director of Kiara Events and lead organiser of the expo.

The event features a mix of hands-on workshops and play zones. Children can try pottery, painting, free play areas, and participate in competitions in spelling and molding. A dedicated mental wellness segment and a live Q&A session are also on the program to address parents’ concerns directly.
“For the first time this year we have mental wellness sessions,” Nabuuma added. “There’s also pottery, free play area, painting and many others.”
Young attendees say they are already gaining new skills.
“I’m happy to attend this year’s Baby and Kids Expo because I’ve learnt how to make ice cream and molding,” said Namulema Keisha Malaika, a Senior One student at Bethany High School.
The expo has drawn strong corporate backing, with sponsors including MTN, Movit, I&M Bank, MultiChoice, Nation Media, JKI Media, The Children’s Clinic, Enjuba, Verinas, Mirinda, Solace, Dairy Farm, and Kids Nook. Organisers say the partnerships allow families to interact with products and services for children, teenagers and adults under one roof.
“We are happy to always be part of this expo because we showcase products for babies, teenagers and adults,” said Mark, a representative from MultiChoice. “I call upon parents to bring children since they are in holiday.”
Other speakers at the event include Winnie Alaro from Movit, Shamim Kawala from Abacus Pharma, and Lilian Blessing from Kids Nook.
Parents who have attended past editions say the expo has had a tangible impact at home.
“This expo has brought positive changes at my home,” said Raymond Mugabi, a parent who has attended consistently since the event started.
Organisers are urging parents to take advantage of the school holiday period to bring more children for the final day of the expo.
“This expo is happening today the 16th till tomorrow 17th May 2026. I call upon parents to bring in more children so that they learn more and have variety of products at exposure,” Nabuuma said.
The Baby & Kids Expo EA has become an annual fixture for families seeking both entertainment and practical learning experiences for children.
