Kampala Man Goes Blind, Pleads for Forgiveness and Vows to Quit Life of Crime

Brian, a 27-year-old resident of Kampala City, had spent years living a criminal lifestyle, surviving by snatching phones and stealing from unsuspecting passersby.

Despite repeated warnings from family and friends, Brian carried on, convinced he would never face repercussions. “I thought I was clever and could get away with it,” he recalls. “But life has its own way of teaching lessons, and I learned mine the hard way.”

About two months ago, Brian noticed a frightening change in his health. His vision began deteriorating rapidly, and doctors could not determine the cause.
