Global Rotary Chief grants Charter to Rotary Club of Kiwafu Breeze

The membership of the Rotary club of Kiwafu Breeze in Muyenga is celebrating a milestone of achievements for having been granted their charter by the visiting president of rotary International Francesco Arezzo who welcomed them into the rotary movement and said their mandate was to serve humanity with dignity, especially the vulnerable.

He made the remarks on Saturday 21st February 2026 at Speke Munyonyo convention Centre during his final sendoff dinner which coincided with the celebration for the 2026 Rotary membership awards.

The president Rotary club Kiwafu Breeze in Muyenga Erostus Nsubuga Njuki told this website on the sidelines of the colorful event shortly after getting his Rotary pin and club charter No 227511 under district 9214 issued on 13th January 2026 that they are humbled to secure their charter from the Rotary International president pledging to work hard with his team to serve humanity with dignity.

The function was addressed by the minister of health Dr.Ruth Acero Aceng who represented the prime minister Robinah Nabbanja Musafiri.

Rotarian Nsubuga. Who was flanked by Dennis Paulo Kavuma the founder and chief executive officer [CEO] of Gravitas Leadership Institute based at Tirupati Mazima mall Kabalagala which is a leadership training facility said being a new club which sits every Wednesday at Afro park hotel Muyenga outlined plans to invest their energies in mobilizing for more members as well as use their resources in life changing impactful projects that uplift the welfare of the vulnerable communities especially fighting the Sickle cell burden that continues to claim hundreds of vulnerable lives especially children.

Nsubuga a prominent Ugandan agricultural entrepreneur and Biotechnology innovator best known as the pioneer in tissue culture technology for agriculture in Uganda said they are excited to join the Rotary movement and determined to ensure they add value to the welfare of the vulnerable populations through mobilizing resources to empower them economically.

Nsubuga is the CEO of both the Agro-genetic Technologies Ltd (AGT Laboratories) and Ereistero Investments Ltd based at Buloba along Mityana road which is the first privately owned company to use biotechnology through tissue culture techniques for micro propagation of different crops on a commercial basis in Uganda including banana, coffee, pineapple, Irish potatoes, trees, fragrant and medicine plants.

While Ereistero Investments specializes in the cultivation of Tissue Culture Medicinal and Fragrant Crops through their affiliated company, AGT Laboratories whose goal is to deliver high-quality crops to customers, and enhance the value of these crops by creating a range of products such as perfumes, diffusers, herbal tea, and scented candles. Additionally, they are leading producers of Loofahs and their value-added products, including in-house slippers, bathing loofahs, and dishwashing loofahs for the corporate community clients which profit he would partly plough back into the Rotary projects development activities for the good of mankind. .

He explained that using resources from his company which started in 2002, would contribute to their listed programs in ensuring that the vulnerable populations especially children affected by sickle cell are supported.

He concluded by requesting potential clients’ to visit their Buloba based facility and buy high quality tissue culture plantlets and Ereistero investment products as a gesture of supporting Ugandan made products under the Buy Uganda Build Uganda [BUBU] policy of government.
